Redd Foxx was married three times before meeting Ka Ho Cho, who was 37 years his junior. The two met at the Bally’s Hotel and Casino while Foxx performed. No one knows if Ka Ho Cho was working or staying at the hotel as a guest, but she caught the star’s attention.
Marrying a Celebrity
When he met Ka Ho Cho, Foxx was dealing with a legal drama with the IRS. Many young women would run away, especially with the big age gap. But she didn’t.

As he was rehearsing, no one suspected something was wrong, and they thought it was a prank. However, his colleague Della Reese noticed he didn’t rise and heard him saying, “Call my wife.”
The paramedics took him to the Queen of Angels Hollywood Presbyterian Medical, but he was pronounced dead four and a half hours later.
Ka Ho Cho held her husband’s funeral and had to deal with his legal debt. She has maintained a low profile ever since and has been hardly seen in public.
